ZOHO Sheet
Technologies: Java, JSP, Struts , Tiles , HTML DOM, Java Script, Ajax and Other Open Source Technologies.
Zoho Sheet, an alternative to traditional spreadsheet processors like Excel and OpenOffice, is primarily used to create, edit, show, publish and collaborate spreadsheets online. ZohoSheet comes under AdventNet's brand Zoho a one-stop shop for Office2.0 tools which includes Zoho Writer (online word) and Zoho Show (online powerpoint)including many other productivity2.0 tools.
Achievements:
Designed and coded the proof of concept for online spreadsheet application. Developed various modules on par with the competition, thus making all the users happy.
Assisted in online marketing of the product, thus gaining a broader view of market place and competition.
Click & Translate
Technologies: Java, JSP, Struts , Java Script , Ajax and I18N
Click & Translate is a web based interactive tool thats used to localize a given product into various languages. Its tool is designed such that its easy to integrate with any AdventNet product. Each user has his own translation versioned which can be collaborated with other interested users thus building a active community.
Achievements:
This tool has helped AdventNet to spread its wings over new geographies thus a peak increase in sales.
This tool has made it easier for AdventNet to localize many of its products into various languages while developing a user community around the product.
C Server Pages [ CSP ]
Technologies: C, Lex, SQLite API, Apache API and other open source technologies
C Server Pages (CSP) is a well defined and simplified architecture for the creation and implementation of dynamic web pages. CSP provides a facility whereby you can write sever-side scripted pages(similar to jsp) using the full power of C programming language. CSP allows dynamic web content to be expressed easily as a combination of C code and HTML. CSP is a part and parcel of CMickey.
Achievements:
Successfully demonstrated CSP can be used to build better web based products. Its live in the form of PassTrix (www.passtrix.com) and RoboIQ(www.roboiq.com)
Many networking related web applications at AdventNet has adapted this for speed and small memory foot print.
This has increased the number of product downloads and satisfied many customers with better performance.
Cmickey:
Technologies: C, Various DB Specific API and other open source technologies
C-Mickey is a strong foundation that offers small download size, low run-time memory and improved speed for building cross-platform, full featured, database driven and/or web based products. One of the primary objectives set by this is to build a full fledged application that weighs less than 10 MB.
Achievements:
Download size: We have successfully demonstrated that a web based product can be developed at a size of just 6MB. (RoboIQ)
Persistence: Database Independence Layer(similar to JDBC) which flexibly allows the end-user to choose a database which best suits his requirements.
